He can’t be real. Right? Elvis died years ago, didn’t he? The man invites her to the Celebrity Star Revue that’s at the local carnival. He also invites her to come backstage. He promises to get her a good seat.
When she arrives, Vanessa is given directions to a room backstage where the impersonator is supposed to be. She knocks and is told to come in. She isn’t prepared to come face-to-face with the sexiest man she’s ever seen and he’s in the buff, too.
Imagine his surprise when T.J. sees Vanessa. She’s totally speechless and he’s wondering if maybe she’s one of those women who drool over Elvis and make fools of themselves.
He listens to what she has to say, still not able to believe she met a dead man even if it was in a cemetery. There’s something about her that calls to him, so he invites her to stay for his show.
Vanessa is blown away by the vibrations she receives from this strange young man. After the show, he invites her to his home for a midnight swim. One thing leads to another and they become lovers. He tells her about his band and she visits the club where they’re participating in a battle of the bands contest.
Veronica Wilde has written a delightful story about a man women have dreamed themselves in love with for generations. And it furthers the question as to whether he really is dead. She’s woven a delightful story of love into the mix. I was delighted to see Vanessa find a love after her creep of an ex left her. T.J. could easily be every woman’s dream, too.
The love that blossoms between T.J. and Vanessa is not without bumps and misunderstandings. If you’ve a fan of romance and Elvis, this one’s for you. Vanessa definitely gets her HUNK OF BURNIN’ LOVE and a whole lot more. But will it last? Read it and find out. It’s a recommended read and a keeper.
