Emily Drake is a doctor but she doesn’t treat human patients.   Instead her clients run to more of the supernatural type.   Vampires, demons, werewolves and every other supernatural creature is her domain.   Then one very sensual detective comes to her looking for help in catching a supernatural killer called the Butcher.   One thing Emily knows is you never mix business with pleasure.

Colin Gyth is the cop on the case trying to find the notorious Butcher.   He is sent to get the help of Dr. Emily Drake and is attracted to her in the worst way possible.   Colin knows he can’t become involved with the one woman who could reveal his true identity to everyone.   Complicating things is the Butcher who is waiting to get his hand on the one woman who can stop him.

Emily has a very complicated job; it’s not easy analyzing the human psyche let alone the supernatural.   Emily is a character you can really admire and easily like.   Colin is the hard-nosed cop who has seen everything and has secrets of his own that he would like to keep that way.   Emily and Colin have an instant attraction and it’s apparent that watching them fluster their way through it will be an energizing experience.   Love scenes are smoldering with heat and passion that won’t be denied.   Cynthia Eden is an amazing author and I truly enjoyed her story of paranormal romance and supernatural pit falls.
