Lila Crosse is content with her life. She has a beautiful home, a job where everyone in the company is more like family, and she’s landed one of the hottest men around for a husband. His good looks are only the tip of the iceberg though, Ryan’s attitude and caring nature is what makes him the perfect man. One afternoon while washing her vehicle her husband comes home to greet her rather affectionately. Normally Lila would be just as enthused to welcome him home; however the man claiming the title as husband happens to be her husband’s best friend Jack.

Jack has come home from a long day at work hoping to great his lovely wife whom he’s been with for almost eight years. The reaction he gets from her was the far from the welcome home he’d been expecting. Life as he’s come to know it doesn’t exist. His house is arranged differently and his wife supposedly belongs to his best friend Ryan. If that’s true, how is it that he knows intimate secrets and knowledge only she could have shared?

The cosmos seems to have thrown a major curve ball.  Lila is still very much in love with Ryan, but Jack’s claims have caused emotions to surface she thought were buried. All three try to work through this unexplainable phenomena while maintaining their current friendships. They will be faced with certain truths about each other and make discoveries that they could have never imagined.

If you are looking for a romance with supernatural flare HER HEART’S DIVIDE should be on your must get list. Kathleen Dienne does a stellar job. She builds up her characters and storyline superbly. The level of intrigue is just enough to keep you guessing until the end. I found myself sympathizing with all of the characters involved. There are no bad and good guys in this one, just a set of uncontrollable circumstances that have all three main characters trying to get a foothold on reality as they know it while still maintaining the bonds that connect them. It is a book you’ll easily want to map out an afternoon for as it is too hard to put down once you start.
