Fires Within

Katja McNeal has decided to make a wish in a fountain. She wishes for her husband to find her desirable again. Her husband is known as the pirate Captain McNeal and to the small village of Savana Rios in the Caribbean; he is respected by all the people. But Katja has been thinking of divorce because it has been way too long since her husband has touched her in passion. She thinks he no longer wants her and her frustrations are driving her insane. Even as she lay beside him in bed late at night, she wishes for a way for their love to be the way it was when he first took her as his wife.

The nights become unbearable as Katja has sensual dreams of another man taking her to sexual heights she has never experienced before. Her most vivid dream is of the statue that has come to life that was in front of the fountain where she made her wish. His name is Warlun and he wants to give her every desire. But this is no dream, and after she has some very satisfying sex with Warlun, she sees that Rafe has watched the whole thing. Katja is horrified, thinking Rafe will kill her, but surprisingly Rafe has also made a wish and this is for he and Katja to welcome another man into their bed; and that man will be Warlun.

This short yet sexually gratifying story is quite a nice fantasy. Set during the early 18th century, we have a woman who loves her husband and will do anything to keep their love strong, which also includes the more physical side of their relationship. Rafe’s wish maybe a bit unconventional but Katja is one sensual woman and is pleased to do whatever will make her husband happy. The ménage a trios Rafe and Katja have with Warlun is very erotic and sexy. Plus the way things end between the three may surprise you.

Roxana Blaze’s FIRES WITHIN smolders with an incredible passion between a husband and wife underneath the hot Caribbean sun. For a fast yet pleasing read, I recommend this hot romance with an interesting twist.
