For Lulu, earning her degree at Cupid's Academy should be a dream come true. However, Lulu is her own worst enemy. It's not like she plans on being late or dropping things, or making all the mistakes she has, but trouble just seems to follow her. Like today for instance, she missed the chariot to Earth for her Perfect Love Matches 101 Exam.
Enlisting the help of one Olympus god, she gets a ride down to Earth. But alas, Lulu's bad day gets worse. She loses her map to Cupid's Earthly headquarters and invisibility garb over the side of the chariot when they hit turbulence. Determined to still fulfill her responsibility she pushes forward. What she finds, however, will change her life forever.
Dake answers his brother's call for help when he is faced with an emergency at his flower shop. Completely out of his element, this electrical contractor finds himself face to face with the beautiful Lulu as she goes on and on about nymphs, chariots, invisibility wings and her search for him. He can't deny his attraction, and even though he suspects she's crazy, or possibly a hooker, he finds himself wanting to help her. Lulu, on the other hand is ecstatic that at last she's found Cupid.
Daisy Dexter Dobbs writes romantic comedy that is so over the top that I can't help but laugh out loud while reading—usually shocking all of those around me. Her wit and ability to create clever and over the top situations is truly a gift. This gift is one she shares willingly with her readers. She always leaves me believing anything is possible.
FINDING CUPID is yet another stellar example of Ms. Dobbs' vivid imagination. Lulu is the quintessential Dobbs heroine—she's curvy yet beautiful and still comfortable in her own skin. She may be a nymph but she has flaws and vulnerabilities just like every woman. Lulu is just down right lovable.
FINDING CUPID has it all—witty dialogue, a hot as sin hero, scorching sexual chemistry, mad cap hilarity and is without a doubt a must have for every romance fan. Ms. Dobbs makes falling in love fun and I, for one, can't wait to see what she comes up with next. © Copyright 2003 by RomanceJunkies.com |
