DYING WISH is the latest installment in THE SENTINEL WARS. Jackie has been put through the ringer dealing with the aftermath of the Synestryn and a whole new family both personal and extended. When she is “asked” to choose, she picks Ian, the one man who seems to put her at arm’s length. Ian has secrets of his own. He thought his time was over when Serena, his betrothed, disappeared. He never expected his already confusing but secretive life to be further complicated by his feelings towards Jackie. If his secrets came out, it would destroy the balance of the Theronai society. Yet Jackie refuses to give up on Ian and fights for him and their relationship until the bitter end.
What
I liked about the book is that there are so many threads running but I never
felt like I was being shortchanged. In
fact, I actually enjoyed it even more. The overall storyline progresses in unexpected twists and turns and introduces several new characters who may eventually become main characters in the future. Several characters are at a crossroads while others are just starting to have bits and pieces laid out for a possible relationship. In other words, I can’t wait to see who will be the next couple in THE SENTINEL WARS series.
