Adam Dellafield is from a long and distinguished line of druids. He has telepathic and magical abilities and is accustom to having what he wants. He is perplexed when beautiful Slaide Rivendell shuns his advances. When she and her young niece rent an apartment in a building owned by Adam, he begins to understand why Slaide is so cold to him. He learns of her isolated past, her sister’s death and her mother’s unrealistic expectations for her daughter’s career in ballet.

 

His quest to win Slaide’s heart is unrelenting, and Slaide finds herself weakening to the charms of Adam Dellafield. She marvels at his way with animals and with her niece. She also begins to believe he is magical when he starts melting her icy heart. But Slaide is a woman in danger, and soon she and Adam are drawn into a perilous web of intrigue.

 

Druid Triumphant is part of a series, but it stands alone if you haven’t read the others in the Druid Series. Jean Hart Stewart has woven a wonderful tale with twists and turns that will leave you guessing until the end. Slaide and Adam make a wonderful couple with great chemistry. There is a wonderful side story as a bonus with the niece’s nanny and Adam’s assistant. This is a wonderful read.
