Sir Sterling Thorn of Witchsire Cottage is a shape shifter.  His abilities give him the title of baronet.  The lack of an estate makes it an empty title.  He is looking for his sister and feels the upcoming ball that evening may be just the place to look, even though the society matrons will not let a baronet near their daughters.  However, at the ball, Sterling will be introduced to the prince consort who he hopes will help him, as he fears his sister was abducted.
