Loren’s thrilled to be close to getting his own truck after enduring the grizzly trainer’s attitude for the past several weeks. They haven’t exactly gotten along and Loren’s sure that Roy finally guessed that he’s gay by his lack of interest in the lot lizard that approached them last evening. He certainly hadn’t expected the man to abandon him in Hicksville, Kansas.
As horrified as he is by this predicament, Loren has to admit that it’s turning out to be an unexpected blessing. He’s got a thing for big, leather-clad bikers and the 1969 Shovelhead Harley gracing a parking spot is a clear indication that he can at least indulge in a little harmless fantasy while he waits for someone to come pick him up. While Loren puts in a call to the trainee liaison he spots the biker himself taking up the corner booth so he sits in the next booth over so he can enjoy a little eye candy while waiting for someone to pick up on the other end of the phone.
Bad Dawg definitely has the looks for being a big bad biker but he’s certainly not standoffish or even really scary. After overhearing the trucker’s plight, BD volunteers to let him spend the night at his home. There’s undoubtedly a sexual attraction but BD doesn’t have any expectations that they’ll act on their feelings – of course, he wouldn’t complain if the truck driver wants to get down and dirty.
Bad Dawg belongs to a biker gang called ‘Prairie Dawgs.’ The name seems like a strange name for a group of hardened bikers… maybe the name should have clued Loren into the fact that Bad Dawg is no ordinary man. Loren and Bad Dawg have an amazing connection but is there really hope for a romance between two men whose occupations will push them in opposite directions?
