Malak is a young angel about to enter his first battle. His job is to help put an end to the den of vice and sin that is Sodom. But as he looks out at the mortals carousing in the streets he can not help but be intrigued and aroused by what he sees. He is so distracted in fact that he is knocked out of the sky falling to his death.

 

Cael sees the angel falling through the sky and hurries to save him for he knows that if a demon saves the life of an angel then the angel must agree to a challenge. If Cael wins he gains the right to walk the Earth until the end of days. Now, for three millennia Cael and Malak have locked in a battle of wills. Cael must get Malak into bed and he only has a year left before he must return to hell forever. Will he be able to convince Malak in time?

 

When I first began reading this story I didn’t know what to expect, however, I am always on the look out for different or unusual stories and DANCING ON THE HEAD OF A PIN by Kiernan Kelly certainly qualifies. This is a story about angels, demons and the end of the world and I really enjoyed it. Cael and Malak are a lot of fun. I laughed out loud at their antics more than once. Their relationship is loving and gentle yet burning hot at the same time. This is a quirky and refreshing erotic romance.
