Eve has been in one bad relationship after another. However, this one seems to take the cake. When her boyfriend beats her, gags her and shares her body with his friend, Eve is sure her life is over. There's no way she's going to get away alive. Crazily enough, a group of people, two men and two women, come to her rescue. Taking her home with them to heal, they give her a vitamin and tell her about a group of people called the Chanku. She always knew she felt different from others, more like a wild animal. She decides to trust these people and see where it leads her. It doesn't hurt that Adam is sleeping right next door and willing to sate her raging libido anytime she wants it. What Eve doesn't expect is her emotions to get involved.
CHANKU DESTINY is an amazing addition to the world of the Chanku. Expertly written, as Kate Douglas always manages, I actually felt like I was one of these wolves. Her attention to even the most minute details leaves me craving to be included in this world. Adam and Eve are now added into the Chanku mix and we find out some very interesting back story on Oliver, Anton's "butler" for lack of a better word. I really, really loved the fact that Oliver got some play time in this story. Although this is the story of Adam and Eve finding their place in the pack, Oliver really helped mold these two characters. The plot line was awesome as always, adding tension and playfulness to the story and characters. For anyone new to the Chanku series, I would not recommend starting here. You really need to read the other books to get the total feel for these characters. Way to go again Kate! I can't wait to read the next installment very soon. I'm drooling in anticipation!
