As the half brother of Tabor, Jehf was forced to stand in for his unwilling ruler, and provide a heir. Once the deed was done, Jehf was taken away, banished to a distant island. Rescued by the machinations of a strange soothsayer, Jehf waited, biding his time till he could return to rescue his love and child. Will Jehf be able to return to Gilana, or will Tabor win yet again?
This story was excellent! Ms Hill has created a very entertaining world, and done a great job with her setting and characters. I nearly cried two or three times reading this story, but it was wonderful! Well done!
SOOTHSAYER
As a young woman, Ivana fell in love with a enigmatic man, a man who sold his soul into slavery to save his younger brother. Banished from his people for his sin, she thought she would never see him again. Resigned to living without him, and needing a husband’s protection, she married a dear friend. When her lost love returned, she was both ecstatic and devastated. There were so many secrets he didn’t know, but would he hate her when he found out?
Vlas had very little he regretted in his life. He certainly didn’t regret saving his brother by sacrificing himself, but he did regret leaving Ivana. She was the one light in his life now, but when he returned to his people, he discovered that she belonged to another. Would he be able to win her love again? Will the secrets Ivana has kept from him destroy their future?
SOOTHSAYER was a much more emotionally charged read then CAVERN DANCER, but it was also excellent. Ivana and Vlas are both very complex characters, with a great deal of emotions to deal with, but Ms. Hill handles it very well. The story was very good, and I really liked the ending. Great job!
