There is a newcomer to Morganville named Bishop, and he is about to turn everything upside down. Everyone thought he was killed long ago, but somehow Bishop managed to survive. Now he wants his revenge and the first person on his list is his own daughter, Amelie. It is not long before he manipulates everyone and takes control of the town. Even those sworn to protect Amelie are turned against her.

Bishop has a plan and unfortunately it involves killing everyone in Morganville. Amelie founded Morganville and made it a safe haven for all vampires. There is no way she is going to allow her father to destroy it all. Amelie enlists her fellow vampires as well as Claire Danvers and her friends. Can they all put aside their differences long enough to regain control over Morganville or will all be lost?
 
Rachel Caine once again astounds me. CARPE CORPUS was even better than the other five books in the Morganville Vampires series. She gives such a wonderful new perspective on vampires unlike any I have ever seen before. Her characters are so captivating, relatable, witty, and charming. Claire Danvers, Eve Rosser, Shane Collins, and Michael Glass are all my favorite characters and I never get bored with them. There is always action and danger lurking around the corner, and these four always have each other's backs. I look forward to reading the next novel in the Morganville Vampires series, FADE OUT.
