I absolutely love Estep’s Elemental Assassin series, so I was worried that after Gin killed her nemesis in the previous book, the series would lose its spark. Boy, was I wrong. Gin Blanco continues to kick butt and take names. She’s just as challenged as she ever was, and her actions and reactions in this book clearly show her growth as a character.
Estep does an amazing job of interlacing Gin’s vulnerability and strength while weaving a sinister plot full of colorful villains and even more intriguing allies. I couldn’t stop turning the pages, trying to see what would happen next to Gin and her friends. Or how she’d deal with a new set of circumstances just as tension-filled as the ones she left behind in Ashland.
BY A THREAD is an incredible journey of action and emotion, a thrill ride of urban fantasy that just keeps getting better. Fans of the series will delight in this book, and new readers will want to go back and read the first five books in the series.
Don’t miss BY A THREAD. It’s an amazing, “killer” of a book, and one I’m definitely adding to my keeper shelf.
