BLOOD MAGIC tells of a dark magic that once again threatens Lily and Rule, along with everything they treasure and love. Lily Yu and Rule Turner are finally planning their wedding. However, both Lily and Rule’s family are not accepting of this mixed marriage. Rule is the prince of the lupi, and Lily is a Chinese. During the planning of their upcoming wedding, a dark and powerful adversary has arrived to take revenge on Lily’s family and begins by attacking their home city, San Diego. It is up to Lily and Rule to stop this evil foe to save San Diego and make it to their dream wedding.
Eileen Wilks is truly a gifted writer. Her newest novel is truly a work of art as her words paint a picture of a modern day Romeo and Juliet. With Lily and Rule’s love so strong, and their families’ rejections to their marriage, one can only draw comparisons to that of Shakespeare’s beloved tale of Romeo and Juliet and how their families did not accept their love. However, unlike Romeo and Juliet, the paranormal element of BLOOD MAGIC makes the saga all that more thrilling. With evil running rapid in San Diego, more than just Lily and Rule’s marriage is at stake, but also their lives. Throughout the whole book, I did not know what was going to happen and kept wishing that everything would work in the end. But, in order to find out if Lily and Rule truly make it to the altar and defeat the evil raging war on San Diego, you will have to read the book yourself!
