Beladors are a group of beings with supernatural powers that have been protecting humans from demons for centuries. Evalle Kincaid has pledged her loyalty to the ancient Celtic tribe, but because of her parentage, she is just shy of being an outcast among them. She is only half Belador...her other lineage is unknown, making her an Alterant.

Most Alterants are confined and kept in captivity for fear of their beast side taking over and attacking the humans. Evalle is closely scrutinized. Everyday is a challenge to keep her freedom, yet she continues to protect humanity. When murders start popping up in Atlanta things get hairy. It appears that someone is controlling demons, forcing them to kill and the bits left behind look a lot like the job of an Alterant, which causes all fingers to point at Evalle.

Evalle has to find a way to prove her innocence while dealing with a mysterious new partner and a puzzling demon hunter. If that isn’t enough to break a girl’s composure, a new problem lands at her feet. A mysterious artifact has surfaced. If it gets into the wrong hands…nothing short of an apocalypse is in store.

BLOOD TRINITY is the first book in the new BELADOR series, composed by bestselling authors Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love. The story tells of an alternate world set in the backdrop of Atlanta where a secret tribe of super humans exist and protect humanity. I liked how well the authors depicted the setting and the characters that were introduced. A lot does go on in this series debut with quite a few subplots and information, but Ms. Kenyon and Ms. Love produced a non-stop action ride that I was happy to be a part of and wouldn’t mind riding again. This book is light on the romance, but it does promise future romance ahead for the main protagonists. I think Urban Fantasy readers will consume this novel, and romance readers who don’t need a heavy love theme will be entertained as well. This book doesn’t resemble Sherrilyn Kenyon’s or Dianna Love’s other works too much, though there are hints of their styles within. I find it refreshing they were able to pull off something new and exciting.
