Alexia is one of the Alliance’s best assassins.  For hundreds of years the Alliance has been her keeper and her life.  Taking on jobs that are dangerous is what keeps her charged.  She loves her job; and killing rogue vampires and demons is just a plus.  However, in the dead of night when she is alone, Alexia hungers for the one man who can take her.  She yearns for one man powerful enough to dominate her and tell her what to do in bed.  Since her personal life is nonexistent, Alexia despairs of that ever happening.  Just when she almost gives up hope, she meets a fallen angel by the name of Azazel.

Azazel is one of the devil’s, or Lucifer as his friends call him, most important and outstanding fighters.  A demon of the First Angelic Revolt, Azazel is on a mission for his boss when he runs into Alexia.  Knowing without a doubt that this woman is tougher than nails and sexy to boot, Azazel figures he and she will have good clean and depraved fun and then both go on their merry ways.

He was so very wrong.

My new favorite genre of choice are books about fallen angels or celestial beings.  I can’t get enough of these heavenly men and women and their stories.  AZAZEL captured my attention with the blurb and the more I read, the more immersed I became in Azazel and Alexia’s love story.

Neither knew the meaning of the word ‘trust’.  Neither expected to fall in love.  Neither wanted anything permanent.  Neither counted on a twist of fate so unexpected that they would be unwilling to part.  Alexia just wanted a man that could overtake her and dominate her. Azazel just wanted a woman that could take him as he was – and Alexia did, much to his satisfaction.

Dawn McClure has written an entertaining tale of good versus evil in AZAZEL.  Fantasies are fulfilled and demons are sated.  I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
