Christophe is a Warrior of Poseidon with a new quest on his plate. He needs to recover the famous British sword, Vanquish, which holds the powerful crown jewel, the Siren. In order for Atlantis to rise again, the Siren is needed. But the Warriors of Poseidon are not the only group in need of the Siren. The Fae are after the Siren; the vampires covet the Siren, and the lone thief, the Scarlet Ninja, is also in a quest to get her hands on the Siren.

Lady Fiona Campbell, popular illustrator of children's books, has a secret of her own. She is the infamous Scarlet Ninja who has been plaguing England in several high stakes heists. This time, she runs smack into Christophe and to say it is an explosive meeting is only the tip of the iceberg. These two each have secrets of their own and suddenly, a partnership seems to be the only way to finally get their hands on the Siren. But will they be able to keep their hands off each other in the meantime?

ATLANTIS BETRAYED is the new book in Alyssa Day's Warriors of Poseidon series. Christophe has been a mysterious character in the previous books but finally, his past is explored. There is a reason that Christophe is rather hard at heart and that reason will likely break the reader’s heart. He has never let anyone in his heart, either as friend or lover, and he takes a big risk on Fiona. Likewise, she is taking a risk on him. His sudden appearance on her big heist, then at her home, is scary but also exciting. There is no doubt that Christophe is a good guy but how much can she truly trust him? These two have to get to know each other amidst some very high stakes events that are both dangerous and exhilarating.

New characters are introduced in ATLANTIS BETRAYED while past characters also make appearances. The stakes are raised yet again but Christophe and Fiona are ready to make their mark.

ATLANTIS BETRAYED is sizzling and sexy but it also has a pulsating plot line of thievery and double-crossing. The mixture of paranormal creatures adds a layer of complication neither character expects but it certainly ups the odds on danger. Alyssa Day had me on tenterhooks while reading this book and I am eager now to see what becomes of a certain warrior after the plot twist Alyssa Day threw into the mix.
