Abigail Virtue Angel is a member of the law enforcement team at
Angels, Inc. Her job is to rid the world of evil by keeping demons in line. On
one of her hunts, she is lured into a trap and bullied by a group of demons. She is to tell headquarters that Demons will
no longer take orders from Angels. However, the message isn’t taken too
seriously at first. Abby can’t let it go and does some investigating, only to
find out that the man who lured her into the trap had been previously employed
by none other than the half demon who had seduced her.
Simeon Keller, half human/half demon, all male; Abby met him five
years ago when she’d come to give him his first strike for seducing a married
woman. She ended up falling into his seduction and has been branded with a bad
rep among Angels. She has avoided him since that day, but now she sits in his
office again, with the hopes that he might be able to identify her attackers.
Being in his presence again proves that she still had a weakness for him. He
grates Abby’s nerves and heats her blood at the same time.
After her visit with Simeon she finds out that the Demons have
attacked two Angels and the warning she had gotten was real. The Demons have
started rebelling and she is faced with a full out uprising. Now if she wants to save the Earth and the
Angels, she has no choice but to accept Simeon’s help. The longer she has to stay in contact with
him though, the harder it becomes to resist his powerful hold over her.
I usually don’t care for books written in first person as much,
but ANGEL VINDICATED had me taken in. I found myself replacing the “I’s” with
“me’s” in certain places.Abby’s spunky
attitude and Simeon’s sexiness were too fun for words and their sizzling
chemistry had me fanning. There is also a potential second love interest thrown
into the mix and I was curious to find out what was going to happen there. Viola Estrella combines suspense and action
with a bit of humor and the paranormal to make for one intense read. I can only
hope there will be more of Angels, Inc. in the near future. This is one that
should go in your collection.
