Dr. Keely McDermott is a world renowned archeologist who harbors a few secrets. One would be the fact that she can read emotions and events by simply touching an object. Keely wears gloves all the time so she does not accidently touch anyone or anything. She also does not let herself get too close to anyone. Her parents treated Keely like a freak as she was growing up, putting her in and out of many institutions. Keely's other secret is the hand-carved wooden fish she wears around her neck. She found it on an archeology dig years ago, and everytime she touches it, she sees a blue-haired Atlantean warrior in her vision. The fish calms Keely and her fantasies about the warrior affect her non-existent love life because no man can compare to her Atlantean.

Justice, a blue-haired Atlantean warrior, has spent the past four months in the Void. When he sacrificed himself to the vampire Goddess, Anubis, in his brother's stead, she cast him into the Void. The Void is a dark place where only pain can be found. The only light in his life during this time is his visions of Keely. He vows to himself that she will be his, even to his Nereid side. Justice is half Atlantean and half Nereid, a sea nymph, but his Nereid side has not shown it's power until the Void. Justice's mind is partly shattered from his time spent in the Void, so when he is finally released, his rage knows no bounds. He kidnaps Keely and vanishes.

When Justice and Keely arrive back at the Atlantean palace, the High Prince demands proof of Keely's powers of object reading. His test is for Keely to read Poseidon's Trident. But when she reveals what she sees in her vision to the warriors, they are stunned. She knows where the Artemis Star is buried, and Justice and Keely are soon on a mission to retrieve it. Only after all seven gems are returned to the Trident can Atlantis rise. But their mission is soon in trouble as the gem is in the same place as a band of Vampires.

ATLANTIS UNLEASHED, THE WARRIORS OF POSEIDON, BOOK THREE, is an action-packed adventure filled with magic and romance. Alyssa Day does a superb job of world-building that will leave you stunned with the richness of detail. The characters of Atlantis are sexy, intelligent, and fascinating. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for more!
