Soon, though, readers are taken on a trip back in time to the era of the wars between France and England. It seems that this poetry has inexplicable connections to Napoleon’s intentions, England’s safety, and Napoleon’s effect on the rest of the world, including America. Oh, thank you Ms. Willig, for giving us THE GARDEN INTRIGUE! Once again, you have managed to deftly intertwine mystery, history, romance and the contemporary world. Eloise, of course, is amazing, but it’s truly the plot of THE GARDEN INTRIGUE that shines: what creativity about technology! Augustus and all the other characters are delightful to read about and get to know. It’s a shame when the book ends, because it is just so wonderful!
