Lady Camille Pryce is eking out an existence while working at the scandalous Tantalus Club. It is just another typical day at work or so it seems when a man lewdly grabs her person. Lady Camille turns preparing to give the signal to have the bounder removed from the premises, but before she gets the chance, a stranger intervenes. He strides up, punches the man who accosted her and demands his apology. Camille tries to go on about her business, but that soon becomes hard when whispers begin circulating about the man who stood up for her, Keating Blackwood.

Keating Blackwood has come to the Tantalus Club with one thought on his mind. He is there to meet the woman who stood up his cousin, the Marquis of Fenton, on the day Fenton was to be married. Fenton has promised Keating a good sum of money if he can convince Camille to leave the club and go on with the marriage. It is only a simple task that he plans to complete in short amount of time.

Keating feels an attraction to Camille the minute he sees her, but he must deny it at all costs. He has a job to do and seducing Camille is not in its description. The more Keating gets to know Camille, the more he dislikes having to lie to her. In her, he has found a friend and that is very rare in his life. Before he knows it, he is head over heels for her and suddenly the money does not seem so important after all. Will Keating win her love or will he be too late?!

Suzanne Enoch's thrilling new series, THE SCANDALOUS BRIDES, has it all; plot, genuine characters and just the right amount of passion to keep readers coming back for more. Book one, A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO RAKES, is wonderfully entertaining, but book two, TAMING AN IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE, is even more consuming. This is the first time I have read about a gentleman's club being employed by only females, and better yet, females who are not doxies. Ms. Enoch makes the club's existence seem very believable despite the time period TAMING AN IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE is set in. I cannot wait to read more about The Tantalus Club and its female occupants.
