As he follows her to the country, their flirtations lead to something deeper. Drew is starting to think that he will never get Lana out of his mind. But Lana fears that he will never commit and has started to look elsewhere. Will Drew get his act together before it is too late?
MISS HILLARY SCHOOLS A SCOUNDREL is as fun as the title makes it out to be! I really loved the rapport between Lana and Drew. It was incredibly exciting watching them banter back and forth, tease and taunt each other. The attraction between them is incredibly visceral. Additionally, despite the differences they see in their marital positions, they genuinely like each other and that comes through on the pages of the story. While there is a plot twist that felt clunky in the overall theme of the story, the fact is that I liked Drew and Lana so much that it overcame any quibbles I had with the story. There is a wonderful secondary cast of characters too including Drew’s theatrical younger sister, Gabby, his concerned older brother, Rich, and Lana’s brother, Jake. They gave the characters a nice frame of family and home life to set the story against.
Overall, MISS HILLARY SCHOOLS A SCOUNDREL is a flirtatious and enjoyable historical romance. Samantha Grace has a great writing voice and I look forward to reading more of her books!
