Rosamund has never forgotten the kiss that she and Griffin shared those many years ago, and that is partially why she has waited so long for him to come to his senses. When she receives a letter demanding she travel to Griffin's home post-haste, she reluctantly declines. Rosamund refuses to let Griffin win so easily. He is going to have to put some effort into winning her hand, a task that may require more than either of them bargained for.
Christina Brooke could not have come up with a better title for this book than MAD ABOUT THE EARL. The title definitely says it all. Rosamund has been in love with Griffin for years even though she has never really met him. When they first meet, sparks fly. Griffin is a troubled young man who has led a hard life. He has a dark secret in his past that we can only begin to guess at. The mystery of it is amazing. I never would have figured it out. MAD ABOUT THE EARL is a true historical gem. I cannot wait to read Ms. Brooke's next novel.
