This charming novel by Christina Courtenay will leave readers sitting on the edge of their seats, reading quickly to find out what kind of mishap will befall them next. The characters are charismatic, and the details are rich. The secondary characters within this novel add a lot of pizzazz to the tale. I truly enjoyed getting to know them.
Marsaili is a beautiful woman with a big heart. She envelops her past around her to remember what her mother has gone through and vows never to love a man. But her heart and body will not be denied the love of Brice.
Brice is an appealing man with a wicked sense of humor. He teases Marsaili mercilessly and is shocked when he discovers that it is he who is smitten and in love.
