A widow for almost ten years, Lady Juliette Blackburn has decided it’s time she reentered the bonds of marriage.  At thirty-four, her choices for a husband might be slim, especially in light of her determination for any match to be purely based on love.  Then she is introduced to a man who instantly catches her eye, but will her scheming be enough to tempt him permanently to her side?

Captain Nathaniel Cruise’s lifestyle does not permit him to take a wife. Engaged in secret service for the Crown, Nathaniel must investigate the members of the haute ton, and Lady Blackburn seems just the woman to help him with this task.  Can he protect his heart, though, while gleaning any information she has?

HER CAPTAIN SURRENDERS is an absolutely fabulous read!  Knight hits the mark by creating two likeable characters dealing with a central issue in every relationship:  compromise.  It is an easily relatable topic, and also one you will sympathize with from the very beginning.  The tension and desire between Lady Blackburn and Captain Cruise jumps off the page from their very first meeting, and with superbly written and revealed plot twists and character behavior, Knight manages to keep you guessing until the very end.  It is wonderful to read of a mature heroine dedicated to obtaining what she wants, and who is willing to use all she possesses to obtain just that.  Don’t miss HER CAPTAIN SURRENDERS, it’s a great addition to the world of historical romance!
