Alexius ‘Sin’ Braverton, Marquess of Sinclair is a member of the Lord of Vices, whose members are known for their scandalous behavior.  They provided titillating gossip for the ton.  He is one of the founding members of their exclusive club called Nox.  The men in the Sinclair line were also known for their outrageous behavior.

 

Out at a ball one night, Juliana agreed to walk out onto the terrace with her escort, Mr. Englehart, who suddenly became a lecher.  She ran, trying to get away from him, but he followed her.  She managed to escape and climb a tree without being found.  However, she became entangled in the tree and before she could get untangled, she heard someone coming.  Sin and their hostess, Lady Lettlecott, came in sight and stopped at the bench right below the tree.  Juliana watched as they kissed and fondled each other, even as Lady Lettlecott went down on her knees in front of Sin and began doing things that shocked her.  A white plume fell out of the tree and landed on their hostess’ head.  Sin, seeing the plume, picked it out of her hair and looked up into the tree…right into Juliana’s eyes.  He managed to send his lover on her way and came to Juliana’s rescue, but in the process of extricating Juliana from the tree, he became fascinated by her.  Sin was determined to know her much, much better.  Juliana knew he was a rake, but she was drawn to him.  However, knowing he was not in her mama’s plans, she left him and ran back to the ball.  Sin picked up the plume, pocketed it and realized he did not know her name.

 

Sin’s sister Belinda summoned him; she had a favor to ask.  She wanted him to seduce and then cast away Lady Juliana, portraying her as a conniving siren who took away every man who was interested in Belinda.  Though not happy about doing it, he did not want to see his sister hurt, so Sin agreed to do it.  However, when he caught sight of his target, he was stunned and more than happy to comply, as his target and the tree nymph are the same.  Sin is happy to complete the first half of his sister’s request.  But will he be able to accomplish the second half?

 

ALL NIGHT WITH A ROGUE, the first book in the LORD OF VICE series, is a captivating, deliciously sensual historical romance.  As Sin spends time with Juliana, he sees that she is not as his sister described.  He begins to value their time together, but soon discovers that he is not the only one who wants her.  There is a great deal of deceit going on in the background, which he will have to overcome before he can claim Juliana.  Brimming with witty repartee, well-drawn characters, an intriguing plot, sizzling sensual love scenes and innocence, this story is a delight.  I look forward to reading more works by this author.  I highly recommend ALL NIGHT WITH A ROGUE to anyone looking for a great story with a bit of spice and humor.
