Angelic and soft spoken Lark Morgan prayed for a fresh start when she arrived in Stone Creek, Arizona.   Disguising herself as a schoolmarm and living in a boardinghouse, Lark hopes it will be enough to keep her from the horrible past she is running from.   

Rowdy Rhodes knows about keeping secrets and telling lies.   And the beautiful new schoolteacher is doing her fair share of both; only thing is, he is the only one on to her.   Getting to the bottom of why she is always looking over her shoulder and why she wears clothes way too fancy to belong to a teacher, are not the only reasons for getting closer to Lark.   Her allure is more than this hardened cowboy can resist.

As Rowdy and Lark learn to trust and maybe even love, their troubled pasts become the fear and the danger for the present, and maybe for any future they might dream to have.

Set in the early 1900’s, A WANTED MAN combines the grittiness we love in a western while at the same time shows the soft and vulnerable side of romance we love to read about as well.   Linda Lael Miller has crafted a tale that has the perfect balance of passion, compelling characters and a rich setting proving once again that she is a master of her craft.
