Katherine Snow, known as Kate, just received a promotion that she never asked for or wanted. Not only does it take out of her beloved field of research, she now has to work side by side with her boss. Which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t for the effect he had on her. Now she finds herself scheduled to accompany him to a conference in Rio.

John Benedict, known to all as Jack, is suffering from her effect on him. He found himself acutely aware of her submissive tendencies. Their trip to the conference started off poorly when the airline lost their luggage. Their shopping trip drew them close to one another and before either of them knew it, they were embarking on an affair.

Knowing her tendencies, Jack knows all of the buttons to push for Kate. She enjoyed their week together immensely, at first unaware that he intended it to be ongoing. When they spend the weekend at his old friend’s, however, misunderstandings raise their ugly head.

Kate and Jack are very sensual characters that you’ll love getting to know. Have a cold drink ready to cool you off. While the story doesn’t follow strict BDSM, it hits the right beats and is very believable. And Jack is one of those heroes that you wonder just where the heck he is in your life.
