Have you ever had a fit of anger so great that you hit someone? Meet Dr. Olivia Bayer, an imaginative psychologist and the owner of a beautiful dog named Phyllis. She is responsible for helping people to come to terms with anger problems. Recently, four women were ordered by a judge to attend her anger management classes after each of them committed an act of violence. Olivia has a few tricks up her sleeve and wonders if her forward-thinking ideas will work on this group of women. She gets approval from her boss to try her new approach. If it backfires, she is told, she will be out of a job! After reviewing their files, she will take baby steps with these ladies and feel her way, to see how they will react to her modern ideas.

Meet Jane, Grace, Kit and Leah, each committed an act of violence and was instructed by a judge to attend an anger management class as their second chance at redemption or go to jail. On Tuesday nights, they meet in a big, ugly building. There is Jane, a celebrated, highly-strung real-estate woman who went berserk and attacked her boss with her stiletto after a client cancelled on them. Next, there is Kit, a sassy married lady with a bevy of brothers who teased her relentlessly for years. She waylays one of them one night, after her brother pushes her over the edge with his inconsiderate, sarcastic comments. The third lady, Grace, a pretty, single mother and the head nurse at a hospital, has two grown daughters with little time for herself, much less for her daughters. Her nerves are strung to the limits. After her rebellious daughter keeps meeting with her questionable boyfriend, Grace takes her anger out on his car one day after seeing it parked in her driveway. Lastly, there is Leah, a young mother of two small children, who took her anger out on her kids one night after years of being abused by her husband.

All four women struggle with coming to terms with their anger. What do they discover in the process? Will Dr. Bayer’s unique approach to dealing with anger help them or forever ruin their chances at recovery?

TUESDAY NIGHT MIRACLES is a haunting, compelling novel that takes the reader on an emotional journey with four different women as they rediscover themselves along with what makes them unique. Dr. Bayer, a bohemian style psychologist, helps them out of their funk. They begin to think of Olivia as a miracle worker as their Tuesday meetings progress. Surprisingly, Olivia learns things about herself in the process too. Her cute dog Phyllis stars in many of her conversations with herself, surprisingly helping Olivia along the way. Relationships bloom, friendships form and the anger is dealt with in ways that they never imagined. This is a moving tale of choices made and chances redeemed. This story is for anyone who has ever lost their temper in a fit of rage and how to deal with the consequences afterwards. Author Kris Radish exquisitely portrays a poignant look into the hearts and minds of troubled women and the problems each have faced in their lives. I am amazed how Ms. Radish displays such a profound understanding of human nature. She expertly portrays flaws in each of her characters by revealing their emotions as sometimes tragic, at times comic, and often simultaneously. I was overwhelmed at many points during the story and brought to tears with each of the ladies’ circumstances. Ms. Radish did a brilliant job of writing with emotion and touched my heart in ways indescribable. I have already promised my book to a friend who can’t wait to read it after I told her about it. TUESDAY NIGHT MIRACLES is heartrending, sharply introspective and thought provoking. A very rare find!
