There is a lot of history to the place that Alex has purchased and he would like to have it restored to its former stateliness and decides to hire T&T, although Taylor wouldn't have turned this job away. There is too much history to uncover with this particular property.
There is a very strong attraction between Alex and Taylor right from the start. But, there is such closeness between the twins that it is hard for Alex to really get close to Taylor. There is something not quite right about the way the twins depend so much on each other.
Incidents lead to Trevor harming himself and we soon learn of the terrible abuse committed against Taylor and Trevor as children by their father. They only had each other to rely on, so their bond is especially strong.
Taylor has attempted to get beyond the abuse by turning to God. Trevor is not willing to hand his anger and fear over to a God he believes did not care about them and the awful things that they were going through. Eventually, Taylor and Pastor Hebert get through to Trevor about letting go of the pain and anger and releasing his demons.
Pamela Thibodeaux has written a good novel with solid characters. You really do feel the strong connection between Taylor and Trevor and hope that both of them can get beyond the childhood that could have ruined them forever. Kudos to author Pamela S. Thibodeaux for tackling the abuse issue in a contemporary romance that really pulls at your heart and make you root for the couples in the story.
