Texas Tangle

After having her cheating ex-husband leave town with most of their possessions, and then having her lazy brother steal what was left, rancher Nikki Kimball is left with an empty house, an empty bank account and a barn full of hungry animals. Nikki is tired, hurt and very lonely. When her sexy neighbor, Dillon Barnett, offers her and the animals a place to stay and then makes it clear that he’d like to be more than just friends, Nikki is leery, but intrigued. The only problem is that Nikki also feels a strong connection to Dillon’s best friend and foster brother Brett. Both men are handsome, kind and loyal…and they both want Nikki. Nikki can’t see how she could ever decide between them, but knows that she must, even if it will break her heart and possibly destroy their friendship to do so.

Dillon and Brett were raised together and are closer than brothers. The only thing that has ever come between them was in high school when they both wanted Nikki for their own. Brett ended up leaving for the east coast, and Nikki married someone else. Brett doesn’t want to leave his family again. He is willing to step aside and let Dillon have a chance with Nikki, even though it would crush him. Dillon is willing to do the same, until he gets the idea for an unconventional solution that would leave all three of them satisfied.

Nikki and Brett, although thrilled at the idea of a ménage relationship, are both practical and cynical enough to realize how tough it would be to flout society’s rules and how it could affect their jobs, their families and their emotions. Dillon has a tough sell ahead of him, convincing the two people he loves the most to take a chance on him and on each other. But he knows that it is the only way for everyone to have the happiness they deserve.

TEXAS TANGLE is a hot and steamy story about three people searching for love and finding it in the most unexpected way. I really appreciate how author Leah Braemel didn’t shy away from all the emotional entanglements that can occur within a ménage. The characters in TEXAS TANGLE acknowledge and deal with these problems in a very true and honest way.

The care and concern Nikki, Brett and Dillon feel for each other, as well as, the sexual attraction between Nikki and the two men, is very tangible and real. I really enjoyed reading TEXAS TANGLE and feel Ms. Braemel has penned a well-written, emotional and extremely erotic story. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up!
