Susan Brennon knew being the maid of honor for her sister-in-law to be would be a big mistake, and she was quite right. Susan is running errands left and right for the bride and one such errand takes her to Piccoli’s, an exclusive restaurant where the rehearsal dinner will be taking place. It is lust at first sight when Susan lays eyes on Michael Piccoli, owner of the restaurant. He is incredibly handsome, suave and instantly puts Susan at ease. He also takes the opportunity to ask her out. Nicknamed “Sensible Susan” by her brother, Susan is not usually one to agree to a date with a stranger, but Michael instantly wins her over and she agrees, even though she has her reservations.

Michael was immediately attracted to the beautiful Susan. But he is also looking for something more and he is starting to fear that she may not be able to give it to him because of her long-held fears. Will Michael be able to convince Susan that love is worth risking it all? Will she finally let her heart have free reign?

SUSANNA’S SEDUCTION is glorious and tender romance at its best. I really loved how this book just focused on the relationship between the protagonists and developing them as lovers, friends, and individuals. Patrice Michelle did not need to throw in other secondary plots to keep me engaged. Susan and Michael do that very well on their own. The romance and personal growth in the relationship becomes the focal of this novel. There are of course plenty of sexy love scenes to heat up the pages, but the thoughtful and tender moments between the characters provide plenty of heat also. Ms. Michelle has created a compelling love story that is sensual and hearty. It reaches the heart through its characters, its poignancy and its honesty about love and what you must compromise sometimes in order to find happiness.
