Sophie's Playboy

Even though she is making a bundle at MultiMicroTech, Sophie Macgregor is tired of her dull existence.  Her womanly instincts are taking over her every thought as she yearns for children of her own, a loving marriage to a man of her dreams, and a job that is more fun. She wants her sister, Kira’s life.  Kira challenges Sophie to step out of her box and answer an ad at a local radio station WNRK to spend an hour on their talk show.  She not only takes the leap, but is an instant it with the listeners.  She enjoys it so much that she leaves her well paying job for a drop in salary to host her own show called “Rant and Rave”. 

Parker “Biff” Cornwall’s uses his notorious reputation of the hottest playboy in town to keep the gals at bay.  Sophie has been averting his advances for quite some time now.  When he turns on the radio of his car and listens to her show, he finds himself calling in and the instant chemistry between them is electric and the listeners want more.  Sophie is shocked beyond words to discover that the station has decided to add her mysterious guest, Parker as her new partner on the show.  She never knew his real name, since he was always called Biff.  She makes it known up front that she does not date men she works with, especially not a playboy like Biff.  But, they spend a lot of time together getting to know each other better and she sees another side of him.  He is a very caring and helpful brother to his divorced sister, Mare and her two rambunctious boys.  Sophie can’t fight the yearnings of her heart and body as she finally succumbs to the heat between them.  She knows that Parker does care for her deeply but his fears are so great that she can’t seem to get him to take a chance with their relationship.  When tragedy strikes will he finally be able to face his fears before it is too late and he loses his chance at a real future with Sophie?

If you have read “Kira’s Best Friend” you will not want to miss the sequel SOPHIE’S PLAYBOY.  Even though I have not read Kira’s story, it has become a must read on my list.  Natalie J. Damschroder gives her readers a wonderful entertaining story of Sophie’s quest to find the man who will fulfill all of her dreams.  She is in for the surprise of her life when she realizes her playboy; Parker yearns to take care of a wife and children all of his own.
