Heather Wells is looking forward to a slightly calmer summer break at Fischer Hall. Unfortunately, that idea is blown to smithereens when the Tania Trace Teen Rock Camp is moved from the boonies of upstate New York right into Fischer Hall. Suddenly, Heather is dealing with angry moms convinced that their daughter is a star, catty teenagers doing anything to get ahead and oh yes, another mystery. Someone is trying to hurt Tania Trace and she is very scared. She turns to Heather, who, despite being the ex-girlfriend of Tania’s beau, is still there to help. But will she get hurt in the process? And will Cooper, Heather’s current guy and the love of her life, understand?

I’m so glad to have another Heather Wells book! I truly love how kindhearted she is and just how quirky she can be. She ponders things like “has anyone ever tried to eat a wedding binder” in conjunction with her favorite TV show, Freaky Eaters. Heather takes on a lot but she never gets upset or angry. Sure, sometimes she gets slightly hysterical but she has Cooper to talk her down and that is why their relationship is a highlight of this book. Meg Cabot is one of my favorite writers because she is funny, sarcastic, but also just really talented and she makes these bizarre situations seem not quite so bizarre. That takes true talent! I would recommend checking out the other books in the HEATHER WELLS series to better understand Heather’s relationship with Cooper but overall, this is just the kind of summer beach bag book you need. It’s amusing, sweet, and has plenty of plot points to keep you hooked! SIZE 12 AND READY TO ROCK embraces its title!
