Lukas’s reaction to the woman he keeps seeing unnerves him. He leaves his luncheon group and heads toward the table where the mystery woman sits.
Lunch isn’t all either of these two want. Hunger doesn’t have to be for food now, does it? Their coming together is cataclysmic and neither can get enough. The interesting part is that neither makes a habit of falling into bed with a stranger or experiencing the emotions that run rampant through their bodies.
As with all good things, there must be some strife to mix it up and cause the hero and heroine to become uneasy. Their budding relationship becomes unraveled when it’s evident that someone wants Lukas Nathanial Lace dead. If Cleo is shot in the process, even better. But who is responsible? The man who hired her to document his movements or is it someone else? And why?
Taylor Tryst’s LEATHER AND LACE is an intricately woven tale of a woman caught up in the middle of something she’s determined to unravel. Cleo never intended to fall in love with the subject of her investigation. Oh the other side, Lukas never expected to find the kind of love and need he experiences when he’s with her. When they’re apart, the desperation they feel is palpable and very real.
The depth of the secondary characters was very well written. I hope that Ms. Tryst will write Tommy’s story. Something about Lukas’s brother intrigues me.
Add this one to your To Be Read list. You won’t regret it.
