Younger man, older woman. Yet another cougar story or something that has a hope of permanence? Regina Pace has to rethink what she really wants from life, when she embarks on a romance with her neighbor’s son.
Keeping Pace is a realistic and intense portrayal of a romance between a man and woman, with a fifteen year age gap between them. From the hilarious and sexy moment they first become aware of each other till the end of the book, this well written novel held me enthralled. This isn’t one of those books where the older woman deliberately targets a younger man just for the thrill of it; but illustrates the heartache and pitfalls involved in any relationship.
This book is beautifully written, the characterization is brilliant. You would have to have a heart of stone, to not be moved by it. Ms. Carney is now firmly installed on my must buy list.
