Cattle Valley 4: Rough Ride

Ezra James lives a simple life on the EZ Does It ranch.  He gets up before dawn and spends his time working with the cattle he loves. For twenty years, this lifestyle has been enough to block out his loneliness. To the rest of the world, Ezra appears unaffected by everything. The only thing that seems to have any effect on him is the man who owns the clothing store in Cattle Valley.

Ezra is immediately drawn to Palmer Wynfield from the first instant he steps foot in Palmer's store. Even though Ezra knows other people are intimidated by his large size, his self-confidence is shattered when Palmer backs away from him in apparent fright. In response and as a means of self-preservation, Ezra calls Palmer ‘Mr. Fancy Pants’. Six years have passed and Palmer has never forgiven Ezra.

     
During an early morning phone call, Ezra is stunned to hear Palmer uttering the words he has longed to hear for years. "I need you."  Can Ezra keep his man safe when threats from Palmer's past arise? Just when things are looking up, another threat arises. Will these two very different men overcome the past in order to create a future together? 

ROUGH RIDE is an exciting addition to the fascinating CATTLE VALLEY series written by the extremely talented Carol Lynne. Lynne has created a town filled with numerous unique and interesting characters including a sexy sheriff, a handsome baker, an ex-football player, and many more. Ezra and Palmer have made short appearances in Lynne's previous books. I have been anxiously awaiting their story since Lynne first introduced these two interesting men.

Both Palmer and Ezra are hiding whom they really are deep inside, afraid to reveal themselves for fear of being hurt. Yet, when Palmer needs help, he knows that the one man who can help him is Ezra. I love the fact that the two men are so very different while still finding common ground as they fall in love. I strongly urge you to read the CATTLE VALLEY series, especially ROUGH RIDE. Believe me–you can't help but fall in love with Ezra and Palmer.
