Lisa Davis Dumont loves her estranged husband Adam.  Married but not living together, Lisa can’t forget how much she misses him but strives to continue her life.  When Adam demands a meeting and tells her his plan to win his bid for Congress, Lisa can’t believe her ears.  However, she agrees to Adam’s proposition – act in public like the perfect married couple and when the election is over and he has won, Adam is to let her go and agree to a divorce.  It’s what Lisa wants.  Or so she tells herself.

Adam loved Lisa when he married her and if he is honest with himself, he loves her still.  He can’t get over the fact that she lied to him so many months ago and in lying, reduced their marriage to nothing.  When he requires Lisa’s ‘wifely’ presence to win his election, Adam refuses at first but soon realizes that having Lisa by his side is an asset.  Not only that, he likes having her with him.  If only he could forget her betrayal.

A CONVENIENT MARRIAGE is a story of lies and omissions.  Lisa kept things that happened to her as a young girl close to her heart because she was afraid of Adam’s reaction.  In doing this, the very man that loved her above all others became a man Lisa couldn’t trust.  My heart broke for the sadness that permeated through both characters except when they were together.  Together Lisa and Adam were volatile, sensuous and full of intensity.

Readers of this type of plot should flock to Liquid Silver and grab this enlightening and well-written novel.  A CONVENIENT MARRIAGE by Nadia Aidan combines heady sexual overtones with scorching hot love scenes to make a wonderful love story of forgiveness.  It is a great addition to any keeper shelf!
