I'm a legal secretary and have been for 19 years.  I work in a small office with one attorney who is great to work for.  Sometimes, it's stressful work and when that happens, I just pick up a good book or open up a good e-book and immerse myself in someone else's life for a while and the stress melts away...at least for a little while.  Other than the stress I can't complain about work too much.  My boss allows me the freedom to bring in my laptop and when I'm not busy, I can read on it or play on the internet or whatever I want.  He's very tech savvy and tech friendly so I get to play with new gadgets from time to time and that's always fun.

 

As for being a reviewer, I've been doing this for a couple of years now and still love it.  I've always been one of those people who walk up to strangers in a bookstore and if they're holding a book I know about, I have to say something.  My husband laughs because that is the only place where I'm not shy about talking to people. 

 

My mother has always been a reader and she read to me when I was too young to read for myself.  After I learned how to read, the world opened up for me.  I'm an eclectic reader and enjoy so many different genres that I won't list them  here.  About the only things I don't like are tech manuals and text books or military manuals.   Otherwise, I'm game to at least give something a try.
