I became a writer because I love to read. I was a sickly kid and reading and television were my big escapes. As a result, my earliest brushes with romance were my twin crushes on Peter in the book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and on Mister Spock of "Star Trek." Since then, however, my tastes have matured and I would dump them both in a heartbeat for Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy.
