I have always loved reading - ever since my first Nancy Drew book. My mother always went around the house with a romance book in her hand. I remember asking her to read her book to me as a child, and thinking, "this book has no pictures. How awful!" (Ha Ha) I slipped and read my first romance novel at the age of 15 and have not stopped. I am so addicted to books. They provide a really nice place to relax. I have a high pressure and fast paced job as a nurse practitioner, and it is nice to come home and read a book. I also like romance novels because most of them end great. I do not want to spend hours reading a book, only to cry my eyes out in the end. My favorite genre - paranormal. I have read J. R. Ward’s Blackdagger Brotherhood series (all 4 so far) until the covers are falling off. They have their own special place in my bedroom on the shelf next to the bed. I decided to join Romance Junkies because I thought it would be great to be able to discuss books with a group of people who adore books as much as I do.
